The European University’s School of Medicine is dedicated to promoting strong research and teaching base to support the faculty, students and the public to get necessary services. The University was established in 2012, and have been forging a new model of medical training that includes not only the traditional medical disciplines, but embraces the use of modern technologies, new clinical practice models and active collaboration with the local and international community. Based on the long traditions of Georgian medical research and teaching, the Faculty of Medicine enjoys full accreditation by the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia.
The Faculty of Medicine has already made a name for itself globally and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER). In addition, European University is represented in the World Directory of Medical Schools. The faculty is also recognized by the Medical Council of India and Council of Higher Education of Turkey. European University is also a member of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). The faculty members are dedicated to aggressively pursue innovative, multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research to address complex health issues, including research of widespread diseases and improving health literacy.
